Their national drink is Soju, a distilled beverage made from rice, wheat or barley that's origin dates back to the 13th century.
I sampled it when I was in Korea in 2016. This week, I bought a couple of bottles for the family to try here....got the peach flavoured variety too. No takers.
Even saying it was made with Happy Water didn't entice anyone.
Methinks both bottles will be here for me when I get back.
Although, based on the above consumption statistics, I will likely find a number of folks who will be enjoying it and by the sounds of it, the Olympics will give everyone a reason to hoist a few glasses.
